They wanted more, though, and asked Lamborghini for a car developed specifically for racing.Lamborghini gave the job to SAT (Signes Advanced Technology), a company set up by former Larrousse F1 team members. The result was the Diablo GT-1. One road car was built for homologation, and a single race car was built for JLOC.Despite all its modifications, the Diablo GT-1 was no match for the Japanese GT500 machinery of the time.
