What are the two lenses on the front of the Gogogo Sport Vpro GS19W Golf Rangefinder?
The front of the rangefinder has a Laser Emitter or Objective lens located at the top and a Laser Receiving Lens at the bottom. This part of the rangefinder should be pointed at the intended target. The Laser Emitter lens emits a laser at the target and it is reflected back to the Laser Receiving Lens. The distance is calculated by determining the time it took for the laser to come back.
How do you turn on this device?
You need to turn on the device before you can take any measurements. On top of the rangefinder, are two buttons: Power or Start button and Modes and Meter & Yard selection button. The Power button is the button closest to the eyepiece. After you press the Power button, you will see an aiming reticle or crosshairs on the LCD screen but there will no distance readings.
What do you use to look at the targets?
You can use the eyepiece to look at the target that you are trying to measure the distance to. There is a focusing ring around the eyepiece that you can use to get rid of any blurriness so that you can get a clearer look at the target. The focusing ring can be adjusted either clockwise or counterclockwise.
How do you change the units of measurement?
There are only two units of measurement available: meters and yards. You will have to press and hold the ‘MODE’ button until the units change to the one that you want.

After you get into continuous measurement scan mode, hold down the Power button while scanning across the golf course to get continuous distance measurements for all of the targets that are in the LCD display. As long as you keep your finger on the Power button, you will get a distance measurement.
What will be shown on the LCD screen in continuous measurement scan mode?
On the LCD display, you will see the distance measurement of any object that the aiming reticle is pointing at. The distance measurements will change if the crosshairs are pointing at different targets while you continue to scan across the golf course.

Golf mode will show you the slope adjusted distance to the flagstick. You cannot turn off the slope compensation technology while you are trying to acquire the distance to the flag. You get into Golf mode by pressing the Mode button until ‘M2’ appears on the LCD screen. After the device gets into Golf mode, hold down the Power button and aim the crosshairs around the flagstick. What will be shown on the LCD screen in Golf mode?
Near the top of the LCD display and right above the aiming reticle, you will see the straight line or unadjusted distance to the flagstick. Right below the aiming reticle, you will see the slope adjusted distance to the flagstick which has a smaller font than the straight line distance. Right below the slope adjusted distance, you will see the degree of slope. It will be a positive number for uphill shots and a negative number of downhill shots.
