Blue Tees is the new kid on the budget-friendly golf rangefinder block. Their rangefinders are not as good as the high-end Nikon Coolshot Pro II Stabilized and Bushnell Tour V5 Shift golf rangefinders but they are very similar in quality to the Precision Pro NX9 and Callaway 300 Pro rangefinders, which are some of the best inexpensive golf rangefinders with slope compensation.
They released their first golf rangefinder, the Blue Tees Series 1 Sport, in August 2020. It costs about the same as a TecTecTec rangefinder because it has similar features including a 6X magnification power, slope compensation technology, and a similar range to flagsticks and large objects. The biggest difference between these two is that only the Blue Tees rangefinder vibrates after flag lock while the TecTecTec comes with no tactile flaglock confirmation. However, it does not have a USB built-in rechargeable battery or an internal magnet for attaching to a golf cart so you don’t lose it.
Blue Tees released their Series 2 and Series 2 Pro rangefinders in June 2021. The Series 2 Pro rangefinder has all of the features of the Series 1 as well as a longer range and better carrying case. The Series 2 Pro is very similar to the Precision Pro NX9 and Callaway 300 Pro rangefinders. The Series 2 rangefinder has the same features as the Series 2 Pro except for slope compensation technology.
Blue Tees released their Series 3 Max rangefinder in September 2021 which has the longest range of any of their rangefinders. It is their best golf rangefinder because it is their only rangefinder that has an internal magnet, red OLED display, slope switch on/off indicator, and premium leather carrying case. These additional features make the Series 3 Max more like the much more expensive high-end rangefinders including the Nikon Coolshot Pro II Stabilized and Bushnell Pro XE and Tour V5 Shift.

Blue Tees Series 3 Max vs Series 2 Pro
The Blue Tees Series 3 Max and Series 2 Pro are their two best rangefinders. The Blue Tees Series 3 Max is more expensive because it locks onto flags faster and has a longer range, a red OLED display, and an internal magnet. Both the Blue Tees Series 3 Max and Series 2 Pro come with slope adjustment and pulse vibration technology which is used to confirm that the device has locked onto the flag.
Listed below are the biggest differences between the Blue Tees Series 3 Max and Series 2 Pro:
1. The biggest difference between the Blue Tees Series 3 Max and Series 2 Pro is with the optics. The Blue Tees Series 3 Max has a much clearer display because it has a 7X magnification power while the Series 2 Pro has the typical 6X magnification power found in most golf rangefinders. The 7X magnification power will give you much clearer and brighter images to look at.
2. Another difference is that only the Blue Tees Series 3 Max comes with a bright red OLED display for low lighting conditions while the Series 2 Pro comes with the standard black display that is hard to see if there isn’t a lot of light out.
The red LED readings will automatically appear if the rangefinder determines that there is not enough light to see the readings on the black display.
3. Only the Blue Tees Series 3 Max has a built-in magnet that allows you to attach it to your golf cart.
4. Blue Tees also improved the ranging capabilities for the Series 3 Max, enabling it to calculate more accurate readings from longer distances than the Series 2 Pro. The Blue Tees Series 3 Max has a maximum range of 900 yards to large objects while the Series 2 Pro has a shorter range of 800 yards.
5. Only the Blue Tees Series 3 Max comes with a slider switch that will indicate if the slope function is turned on or off. If it is turned off, the device can be used for tournament play.
6. The Blue Tees Series 3 Max has a premium leather carrying case while the Series 2 Pro has a soft shell carrying case.
7. The Blue Tees Series 3 Max costs about $40 more than the Series 2 Pro. There is a version of the Blue Tees Series 2 Pro that comes with a magnetic strap for an additional $30. It is better to just buy the Blue Tees Series 3 Max because it only costs $10 more than the Series 2 Pro with the magnetic strap, which does not include the red OLED display, slope on/off slider switch, and premium leather carrying case you get with the Series 3 Max.
Final Verdict for Blue Tees Series 3 Max
The Blue Tees Series 3 Max has many more features than the Series 2 Pro that justify the additional cost. If you don’t want to spend $400 on a golf rangefinder that has slope technology, vibration confirmation, and a red LED display, then this is a great affordable alternative to the more high-end rangefinders from Bushnell, Nikon, Callaway, and Leopold. At a price of about $260, it is much cheaper than any rangefinder from Bushnell. If you are on a budget and want to buy a rangefinder with a 7X magnification power, an internal magnet, vibration confirmation after flag lock, and a slope on/off indicator, then you should purchase the Blue Tees Series 3 Max.
Blue Tees Series 2 Pro vs Series 1 Sport
The Blue Tees Series 1 Sport was their very first golf rangefinder. It is also their cheapest rangefinder with a cost of about $160. It has the shortest range of any of its rangefinders and lacks many of the features found in the higher-end rangefinders including a red OLED display and a built-in magnet.
Both the Blue Tees Series 2 Pro and Series 1 Sport have a 6X magnification power, slope compensation technology along with pulse vibration technology.
Listed below are the biggest differences between the Blue Tees Series 2 Pro and Series 1 Sport:
1. Blue Tees improved the internal functions of the Series 2 Pro enough so that it can lock onto targets faster and give you more accurate readings at longer distances than the Series 1 Sport. The Blue Tees Series 2 Pro can give you accurate readings to highly reflective objects up to 800 yards away while the Series 1 Sport has a shorter range of 650 yards.
2. The ridges on the housing of the Blue Tees Series 2 Pro makes it easier to grip than the flat surface of the Series 1 Sport.
3. The Blue Tees Series 1 Sport has a soft shell carrying case while the Series 2 Pro has a hard shell carrying case.
4. The Blue Tees Series 2 Pro costs about $60 more than the Series 1 Sport.
Final Verdict for Blue Tees Series 2 Pro
If you are on a budget, you should purchase the Blue Tees Series 1 Sport instead of the Series 2 Pro because it is $60 cheaper and the only significant difference between the two, besides the price, is the 150 yard difference with the maximum range to large objects.
However, some websites have deep discounts for the Blue Tees Series 2 Pro, which can make it a better deal.
